Welcome
I am a Focusing teacher, newly retired therapist, and neuroscience nut, recently moved from London to Devon. I’m not exactly ‘retiring’, rather, I’m transitioning to a more relaxed (I hope) working life with more time for writing.
This website outlines what I do, including my seminars on neuroscience and my book Therapy in the Age of Neuroscience. It also links with my Focusing activities which can be found on my other website focusing.co.uk
Recent additions to the site are a page of brief notes and a page of long notes on neuroscience topics, and a sign up page for my neuroscience newsletter that started in autumn 2023.
About myself
After many years based in Clapham, south London, I have recently moved to Teignmouth in Devon. I venture further afield when invited to do something somewhere else.
I live with my wife Sue, a stripey cat called Cato, and a lot of plants which have moved with us to our new terraced garden on a hill overlooking the sea, the river Teign, and Dartmoor.
The photos on these pages are of seascapes, sunrises and sunsets from our sailing trips around the wonderful Ionian islands of Greece.
